“SENIOR COACHES WANTED FOR 2020”

COACHING STAFF 2020:

Firstly, let me thank all our wonderful coaches for their outstanding efforts during 2019. We are hopeful that all junior coaches will return again next year. A huge thanks to Daniel Lawrence who has sadly informed us that he wishes to have a break from coaching next year. Dan has done a sensational job developing our young squads and promoting team unity over the past two years. We all wish him the very best on his long journey of recovery after undertaking major knee surgery this year.

As per tradition we now declare all senior coaching positions open after the grand final weekend. If you are interested in coaching any of our senior teams during 2020 please send me your name and contact details ([email protected]). All I require to begin the appointment process is what team you wish to be considered for?

I encourage all our other senior coaches to let me know if you wish to continue coaching one of our senior sides by following the process outlined above. NOTIFICATIONS OF INTENT TO COACH SENIOR SIDES CLOSE 27TH OCTOBER!

The club is very keen to hear from non – Tolland candidates and any nomination from outside our club would be most welcome. As stated above all senior TFC coaching positions will be open from this Monday. You will never know unless you express an interest, name, contact and team you would like to coach is all that is required. If you know somebody that wants to coach encourage them to apply!

CONGRATULATIONS: To our four teams who have reached the grand final this weekend super effort from all concerned.

PRESENTATION NIGHT 2019: This great night is again at the RULES CLUB on SATURDAY 5TH OCTOBER. COST $35 please ensure you purchase your ticket from Dave well before the due catering date cut off. Come along and have a great night.

Best of luck to all our grand finalists playing on the weekend. Maurie

“RAFFLE TICKETS”

RAFFLE TICKETS WERE GIVEN OUT TO ALL OUR TEAMS SOME TIME AGO! These books need to be returned to the coach, dropped in at 4 Julie Place Tolland or contact Maurie so I can pick them up 04322018. This is an important club fundraiser to help with presentation cost. It’s a small number (20) per competition team about one per team family MEMBER. They should be able to be sold at the Saturday match. Please appoint a team member to organise raffle sales as the coaches have enough to do already! The raffle will be drawn on senior presentation night.

OUTSTANDING KITS: We still have a few mini –roos kits to be handed in please get these to Donna as quickly as possible so we can do the final stock take for the year.

JOSS GROUP

The Joss Group is a company that mainly deals in large construction projects and not easy for most of our members to support but they also operate a cleaning business. Please support our sponsors whenever possible (All sponsors are appearing on our home page continually).

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

  • The easiest and best way is mention the Joss Group is you know anybody needing large construction projects or perhaps it might be where you work.
  • There are occasions where you need professional cleaning so look no further than Joss who have an office in Wagga.

PRESENTATION AWARDS: We are calling for names for the following annual club awards; Junior club person, Senior club person, Club person of the year and the Stephine Scott Memorial Award. All information/criteria/forms are on the website. Nominations close at the end of this month. All playing awards are selected by the relevant coaches.

MINI –ROOS: All these competitions have now finished and this weekend is the last of the junior and senior competition home and away games. Good luck to all our teams who will qualify for the finals.

INTERSPORT “34 BAYLIS ST”

No, t’s not a new sponsor but the Sportsmans Warehouse has changed their business name to INTERSPORT. Their business is still donating one $10 voucher for each competition round for each of our mini – roos and junior teams, this is over $6000 worth of sponsorship. All senior teams (six) also receive a thirty dollar voucher another $3000 worth of sponsorship. More importantly this all goes to our players not our club, Mini – roos and junior coaches ensure these awards are shared around so every registered player will get at least one and some of the mini – roos players two or three because these teams are smaller. All senior awards are voted for by the players after each match. Remember if you buy something from INTERSPORT tell them you are from Tolland Football Club and a percentage of your purchase goes back to the club.

When you are considering buying sporting equipment/clothing please have a look at INTERSPORT first and where ever possible support our major sponsor.

Best of luck to all our teams this week. Maurie

SWAP MEET THANKS:

The swap meet was a very successful fund raiser for the club and this would not have been possible without the many volunteers who helped prepare food, cook and serve to hundreds of people who attended the swap meet last Sunday.

Without doubt this was the best ever response we have had for helpers at any fund raiser! The most pleasing aspect was the large number of senior players who gave up their time to help the club raise much needed funds. A big thanks to all those who helped out.
